En el marc del programa ERASMUS Staff Teaching Mobility ha visitat el Departament d'Estudis Anglesos i Alemanys el professor Bartosz Stopel de la Uniwersytet Slaski w Katowicach (Universitat de Silèsia, Katowice, Polònia).

The Department of English and German Studies has been offering the module "Catalonia and Spain in a European Context" since September, 2017. The course is open exclusively to incoming ERASMUS students and is taught entirely in English. Its main objective is to encourage students to participate actively in intercultural debates whilst learning about the basic aspects of Catalan and Spanish Culture. Topics range from geography, history, architecture, music, literature, art, popular culture and others. The intercultural interests arising from these topics will give students the opportunity to make comparisons with their own home cultures. The course is offered each semester. Students who have attended the course so far have come from Australia, Cambodia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
In the 2017 U-Ranking by the Fundación BBVA and the Institut Valencià d'Investigació Econòmica, Universitat Rovira i Virgili is among Spain's best universities. Specifically, the URV is considered ideal for studying degrees in English, History and Chemistry.
The university offers two grants for the Master's program in Professional Translation and two grants for the Master's program in Teaching and Learning English as a Foreign/Second Language. Click here for more information.
