The Department of English and German Studies (DEAA) is responsible for teaching and research in a wide variety of topics and disciplines related to the language, literature and culture of English and German speaking countries.

The DEAA coordinates the undergraduate program in English as well as the Masters in Foreign Language Teaching (English as a Foreign Language) and the Doctoral Program in Translation and Intercultural Studies. It also participates in the interdepartmental doctoral program in Language, Literature and Culture.

The DEAA also provides English language instruction in other degree programs within the Faculty of Arts and in other faculties such as Tourism and Geography, Education and Psychology and the School of Engineering.

The DEAA is located in the Faculty of Arts, Campus Catalunya, Building D2, second floor.
