Master's graduates receive diplomas
One of the two main speakers at the event was Dr Liz Russell, from our department, who spoke about the importance of language in gender and political relations, after pointing out that her dress was bedecked with letters.
Elina Gatina spoke in impeccable English on behalf of the graduates of the Master's in Second Language in Teaching and Learning English as a Foreign/Second Language. Natalia Sáez Pérez spoke in equally impeccable Spanish on behalf of the students in the Master's in Professional Translation.
The event was followed by drinks and nibbles in the dying heat of a summer day.
Even though the Master's in Professional Translation is 100% online, with participants all over the world, four of the 2025 cohort were able to attend.
The event was streamed online for all the graduates who were unable to attend.
